That anyone can take Communion?
If it is true, than that would explain why a friend of mine who used to fight me about how he hated everything about the Catholic Faith, is now married to a someone from the Philipines and attends a Catholic Church and goes an receives Communion every Sunday with her. He told me that she said that he could go up and receive the Eucharist. Which make me wonder if she is even able to receive the Eucharist herself. I told him that he was not allowed to receive the Eucharist and that he could go and get a Blessing and his reply was, “what’s the big deal if I receive the Eucharist!” I just left it at that because, I wanted to slap his face. That anyone can take Communion?

that just tells you that lots of so-called Catholics or would-be Catholics, whatever their country of origin, do not know, understand or care about true teaching on the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and the danger of receiving unworthily, which Paul warns us about. Your friend is taking his teaching from his wife, who certainly does not sound well-schooled in the faith, rather than from the Church herself. so what else is new?If it is true, than that would explain why a friend of mine who used to fight me about how he hated everything about the Catholic Faith, is now married to a someone from the Philipines and attends a Catholic Church and goes an receives Communion every Sunday with her.
