Is it true that according to Quran the Jews deserves to have the land?

The Jews are the people mentioned in this verse and the holy land is jerusalem; but the Qur’an explains in this surah and in other surahs that the Jews didn’t keep their convenant with Allah (swt) so they don’t deserve the land anymore.

The above quote you provided only says the land is forbidden to them for “forty years”. It does not say forever or only if they are eternally obedient. I agree they did kill His prophets and disobeyed Him numerous times, but based on the quote you provided that does not seem to be a condition to occupying the land.

Yes, before and after, in the history the Jews were disobedient. But my question is, if Allah has broken the covenant and change the verse HE gave with another surah, please provide us. We don’t need men’s opinion. We need what is written in Quran. Or are you trying to say that your logic and your opinion can make ONE verse from Allah nullified?
I need your back up with a latter verse telling all that the holy land doesn’t belong to the Jews anymore.

The Holy Land is waiting for the time when there will be holy people who strictly abide by Allah’s teachings to deserve it.

Focusing more on the Jews’ claim to Palestine as their promised land, we would like to cite the following fatwa issued by the prominent Muslim scholar Sheikh `Atiyyah Saqr, former Head of Al-Azhar Fatwa Committee:

“Twenty centuries before the birth of the Christ, there lived on the shores of the Euphrates a tribe from the descendants of Ibrahim (Abraham) searching for rich places to graze their flocks; they went westwards till they crossed Galilee. They were given the name of the Hebrews, now known as the Jews. They moved aimlessly without having a certain destination until they arrived Egypt where they lived in peace and security for five centuries.

The rulers of Egypt, known as the Pharaohs, kept a tight fist on the Jews and humiliated them. The rescue of the Jews was attained when Moses (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent to them. He led them through Sinai to a new land and a fresh dwelling. For some time, they stayed in Sinai till commands were given to them to enter the Holy Land of Palestine. In Palestine, there was a tribe called Canaanite who built some cities part of which is Jerusalem. Days went on till the Jews revolted against the teachings of Allah and deviated from His religion. Almighty Allah sent to them the governor of Babel, Buchtnasser who humiliated them and enslaved many of them.

Many years later, they returned back to Palestine and some of them went to dwell in the Arabian Peninsula. The Jews in the Arabian Peninsula showed enmity to Islam and fought the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) till they were driven out from the peninsula by Muslims.

Though, seizing the chance of Muslims’ lapsing in weakness and deviating from Allah’s teachings, the Jews have occupied Palestine, they will never remain there forever, for the evil within themselves is beyond description. They will suffer another defeat and sever blow; we hope this will be at the hands of Muslims once they return back to their Lord and be unified again. Allah says in this regard: “And when your Lord announced that He would certainly send against them to the day of resurrection those who would subject them to severe torment; most surely your Lord is quick to requite (evil) and most surely He is Forgiving, Merciful.” (Al-A`raf: 167)

the promise was in the Quran, and for Jew’s disobedience, they were punished again and again. But never did Allah said that the
Promised Land doesn’t belong to them anymore. If I am not mistaken, the promised land is the land promised to Ibrahim, and also to Children of Israel (from Jacob).
If Allah said that the PROMISED LAND doesn’t belong to the Jews anymore, I would love you to quote from Quran, not from Hadeeths or Tafseers, because Hadeeths and Tafseers were made by men.

There’s no proof that the Jews never stopped believing in one true God, although they were disobedient here and there. And God forgave, like what happened in the case of Golden Calf. So there’s no covenant broken completely.

The covenant is with the descendants of Isaac - meaning the Jews.

Arabs are descendended from Ishmael, the result of the illegimate union of Hagar and Abraham. In other words, Arabs are descended from a bastard. Muslims are followers of a descendants of a bastard.

All Allah did was to bless Ishmael and give him 12 sons. There is no mention of inheriting the earth.

In short, you are guilty of presupposing Islam is the legitimate religion - that is a logical fallacy because Muhammad founded Islam by copying bits of the Torah and the Bible.

Allah knew everything, and yet he made covenant with Jews. So unless you can provide an abrogated verse that the promised land is no longer the right of the Jews directly from Quran, you can’t claim that the promise has no longer been exist.

What Jesus and the Bible said is not relevant, unless you want to confess that Bible indeed is not falsified, which of course will contradict your belief. We are talking about Al Maeda, remember?

Dear All,

I agree with George, that unless we have something more (like abrogated verse of Al Maeda 5:21) or opinion, we need to conclude that Allah never stated the land don’t belong to the Jews anymore.
Please note here that I don’t oppose the creation of Palestine Country. I just want to ask the motive of Arabic countries that wanted the Jews (and Israel) to be wiped out of the map (directly and indirectly), while it is clear in Quran that the land belongs to Jews. Stated by their own Allah.
