Is it true that McDonald's & Sonic have donated to Planned Parenthood?

It’s not true that companies are too big to be hurt. LDI and others’ boycotts have resulted in many companies changing their policies. I know of know evidence that any store has ever closed due to a pro-life boycott. Do you have any specific examples?
I know that the boycott of Disney over Gay Days failed miserably-they were WAY too big to be hurt. ( I live in Central Florida)

If no store has ever closed due to a boycott, then I guess the boycotts didn’t work all that well, did they?

I would hate to see minimum wage people lose hours or even jobs because of a boycott, that’s all I meant.

Well the intent of a boycott is not to cause companies to close. It’s to hurt them enough so that they realize that they need to change their policies. Hundreds of companies have complied with such boycotts. I’d say that’s successful.

BTW: I asked LDI about Pepsi, McDonald’s, etc. and Mike was right. They have never been on LDI’s list and all are OK to do business with. (Maybe it was not LDI’s list someone was looking at?) YUM! Brands owns Taco Bell, etc., and they are OK too.
Thank you, Tiffany. I was unaware that they were off of the list. I must have been looking at a different list.

You’re welcome, Will8503.

May I encourage everyone to read “The History of the Economic Boycott” and “The Economic Boycott: Is it Moral? Does it Work?” on LDI’s website? I found them both interesting and surprising. (This is unrelated but I also liked the Special Reports entitled “Killing More Minorities Than the Ku Klux Klan” and “Intolerance.”)

Hi all. Just finished with some more “must-reads” that I want to pass along. Real eye-openers. On LDI’s website (fightpp.org), under Publications, under Special Reports, go to Autumn 2000 (“The Making of a Controversy: The History of the Conspiracy Against Pregnancy Care Centers”). Also, Summer 2006 (“The Joy of Listening to Children”) and Summer 2007 (“Rotary’s Dance With Death: Population Control Agenda and Ties to Pro-Abortion Groups Eclipse Good Works”).

LDI has posted a list of businesses that give to Planned Parenthood at the local level. You may want to check that out too.

Peter, I am sorry I came across as belligerent. Just passionate, I think. Either way I am sorry. You seem like a good man. (Michael sounds like my kind of guy! :))

As far as I can tell, McDonald’s supports The United Way, and The United Way supports Planned Parenthood, so indirectly, yes, they are helping fund abortions.
