Is it typical for Catholics to be rude to Wiccans on this forum?

Or have I just caught a few of you in a bad mood, or automatically making assumptions? Or perhaps it was the former Roman Catholic thing that has you all suspicious?

I have been nothing but charitable to any of you, so please, with all due respect, follow your own forum rules and be charitable to me. Pretend Jesus is watching if you have to, because you believe that right?

Apparently the church hasnt changed much. This forum is rude, so I assume the church still is rude and slanderous and blasphemous to my Goddess like it was back then. It never changes. I wasted my time. I apologize, there is nothing new here, just the same old slander.

I know no one here is going to agree with me. I didnt ask you too. I asked for respect, many of you showed none, thus you broke your own rules. I wasted my time.

I have already been accused of worshipping the Satan you believe in and I dont, havent been downright told Im going to hell yet, but Im sure thats coming and I know you are thinking it. Im glad God is god and you all are not.

I read the rules, and I am following them, but most of you dont know how to do that.

Did I get touchy, yes, because you told me I am so horrible I deserve to burn in a fire forever. That my love of my Goddess is such a horrible thing I deserve to have the flesh melt from ny bones, to be tortured, and then you had the audacity to accuse me of worshipping demons you believe in and a Satan that is the best friend your religion ever had because it kept the church in business for years. I have been accused of many things, but torture, thats a first and Im done laughing about it and now, I am angry.

It’s a diverse crowd. Some will be rude, some won’t. Just ignore the rude ones. Most will disagree with you though.
 
You’re not the first person to accuse me of rudeness on here so that might make you feel better. I’m suggesting you need to think more carefully about your wording of thread titles. Is that rude? I think it is direct.
Your title too here makes assumptions, negative assumptions which suggests to me you are hypersensitive about this issue, therefore not ready to discuss it rationally.

We don’t sugar coat God. We don’t sugar coat the teachings of a God.

You are into Wicca. It’s not of God, it’s of the devil.
It is the total opposite of what God teaches us. We are told by God, in Sacred Scripture , the Bible, to avoid it.

I have no respect for Wicca or anything of the devil. I make no apologies for that.

You were baptised Catholic, you will be Catholic for life. Right now you are turned away from God and in the employ of that great deceiver, the devil.

I am in the employ of God, and truth, His truth.

You don’t believe in the devil. There’s your first trap that the great deceiver, the devil , has laid. That hooked you hook line and sinker.

The church does not believe in goddesses. Yes you have wasted your time, if you sought validation and respect for your false god and goddess on this forum.

We are Catholic. The one true church.

I don’t know what happened here, but if you want to get to know Mary better, I’d suggest praying the rosary.
 
First of all, what do you want? Don’t throw our own rules back at us that you would break in a heartbeat and try to make us feel guilty about some perceived wrongdoing on our part. Have never even seen you before!

From our perspective, some of the very fundamental aspects and acts associated with what is generally considered “Wicca” would indeed self-incriminate one to hell. Just because one calls “God” to that which would present such a lifestyle as being good, doesn’t make it so.

Its typical for many posters of every religious preference to be rude in general on internet forums. Not just Catholics and Wiccans on CAF.

When I bought my first computer 20 years ago, the folks at Gateway included a brochure about “netiquette”, apparently now its a dead letter, and a lot forums are like mad max and thunder dome, no rules. CAF is fairly well moderated, more so than some less so than others. But even in the best moderated forum, there is still an ample supply of “rude”, and you just need to keep a stiff upper lip and not allow yourself to really get baited.
 
You’ve been here nine hours and are already ranting about how horrible we are and threatening to leave? I’ve seen that dozens of times before and it usually does not come from people who come here in good faith.

Also, what do you expect us to say? We Catholics believe all other “gods” are false or really demons. It’s not to insult you, we are just stating what we believe. And, also, the Catholic concept of Hell is self-imposed separation from God, nothing physical like flesh melting from bones, because we are free to accept or reject Him and he respects our free will even though we don’t always chose what is good for us.

You come here asking for everyone to respect your beliefs, then denigrate the Church, then abruptly start screeching at everyone in all caps.

You don’t seem super stable.

The first two responses were very civil, simply saying that we don’t believe Mary is a goddess. To which you responded by yelling:

News flash – disagreeing with you does not mean we’re not following forum rules.

I know some Wiccans, hon, and not one of them has accused me (or anyone else) of “slander” or not being a loving Christian simply for not thinking Mary is a goddess.

Again, you really need to look at your own rudeness to those who dare tell you what the Church teaches.

Yup! I know a few Wiccans myself. Very respectful and open to honest and frank discussion. None as hot tempered as the OP seems to be.
