…that I consider Jesus my Spouse even though I’m not a nun yet?

I don’t think so.
From what I have seen on these forums, this is a very common sort of sentiment among future religious.
I know I feel that way about my vocation as well.
If you know your calling then it is there in your heart.
For us one day this will be real when we take our vows.
Perhaps future spouse would be a more accurate statement but that does not discount your sentiment.

Most people do not experience the feelings you are having because they are not “natural” to man in his fallen state. But throughout history, many Catholics and Protestants alike (not merely nuns and not merely women) who have been very close to God have felt what you describe, with a devotion and a passion that far surpasses the emotions generated by any human relationship. I would not describe your feelings as weird–but unusual–unusual because You may be beginning to experience the grace of a very unusual love. Consider it a very deep grace, an infusion of Holy love to You from God Himself:)

Not at all!

We are all brides of Christ. We are wedded to Jesus in the Eucharist when we receive Him into our hearts. Sisters and nuns experience that Brideship in an even deeper way, by being His spouse and His alone and living a life that reflects that (not saying lay people can’t, but religious life is a completely different and higher calling).

You should listen to the song “Your Bride” by Danielle Rose. So good. I have a feeling you will be able to relate to the song 😃
