I’m really into this translation: amazon.com/Revised-Standard-Version-Catholic-Bible/dp/0195288653, but all the RSV bibles seem to have some innate impediment: small print, bad pages, etc. I really think this looks awesome, just what the doctor ordered.

But then again… it’s not a good idea to order things without knowing it’s what you want–meaning, first off, to have a decent idea of what you’re getting.

Does anyone have this particular bible? What’s your opinion?

Or if you just felt like commenting, or have something to contribute, go for it. (But NO, I’m not interested in the RSV-2CE at all. lol Every time I post something like this, people started recommending it automatically for some odd reason. 🤷 )

Thanks in advance!

I’ve seen it, and it is very nice and of high quality. But it is pretty much a straight-text bible…no section or page headers, and no cross-references between related verses.

You could probably see one in person at a Barnes & Nobles, or a Christian bookstore.

Sincerely,

St_Aloysius,

Did you ever go see an RSVCE Reader’s Edition? What did you think? Did you buy it?
