Is it wrong to aid someone in buying food on Sunday?

My family does not have any Catholics, so I do not get much support where ethics are concerned. My mother asked me one Sunday to call the meat department of a grocery store to see if they had any beef tenderloin. I knew that if they had it, she would go and buy it.Was it wrong for me to call them, or does it fall under the category of double effect?
