What if the person you’re blaming is really at fault? Is it okay?

you can justly condemn an action (God gave you wisdom and rationale to differentiate good from evil); but never condemn the person (even God waits until we die before judging us, so you don’t have to usurp His power).

What do you mean by “blame”? If you mean you wish to attribute fault for some action, I see nothing wrong in that. This is surely what our police and justice system do? If you are seeking some retribution or punishment for a wrong doing, where is the fault in that? Truth is also a virtue.

Blaming someone for something they did isn’t wrong. Blaming them for something someone else did is wrong. Especially if it’s something that you did.

Remember that we are supposed to judge not by appearances but by just judgment. We can’t always know a person’s intention behind his behavior, so we must be very careful in making judgments about others, lest we commit the sin of rash judgment. If it is clear as crystal that a person has done some wrong in word or in action, then we may judge their word or action as wrong. We just can’t be rash when we make judgments. Also, we should not go speaking of other peoples’ private faults to others, unless the fault is well known and already public, or unless we are called to do so in a court of law or for some other good reason. God bless you.
