Is it wrong to use "bad/mean" behavior to get ahead in a strategy game?

I would assume all players have the option to resort to these tactics. Likewise, might you not suffer in the game if you gain a reputation as a backstabber?

As long as everyone is using the same rulebook, there’s nothing wrong with what you’re doing.
In fact, if what you’re describing is standard but you decide to take the high road, well, “Nice guys finish last.”

BTW, what game? If you don’t mind my asking.
Its Custom game made for Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne. Its basicaly a game within a game, because people like ot make their own maps and play online. So some maps/games are entirely unrelated to the actual game that was purchased

I was recently playing a strategy game, basicaly you play as a country in the Napoleonic Age.

Like playing “Risk” almost, I’m only slightly familiar with that game and I wonder if it helps you grab the picture.

!
absolutely that is all the fun, especially if you are playing with family
in this family there is one rule that trumps all others
“Get Dad!”

it is a only a game

if you don’t want to play Risk cutthroat better to not play at all

same with Texas Hold’em, if you can’t afford to lose, you can’t afford to play, even if it is for toothpicks or pretzels

we can get devilish with Hearts or Crazy Eights we don’t need high tech games

Sometimes the behavior in the game in order to win, if it were applied in real life, is almost sinful.

!
No! how ridiculous, it’s a game - this reminds me of the guy who asked whether he had to confess all the sins he committed while he was dreaming.
