Is it wrong to watch a TV show about a medium?

There is a television show my teen aged daughter likes to watch called Long Island Medium. Its about this lady who goes up to random people and gives them a message from their deceased loved ones that are intended to help them heal. My daughter told me the lady claimed to be Catholic and the show is about her interaction with her family protraying them as a normal family.

I told my daughter not to see this show because it goes against our catholic teachings. Does this type of entertainment go against Catholic teaching with regard to mediums, talking to the dead etc?
