Is it wrong to wish you wouldn’t have saved someones life?

Especially when that person is the cause of literally every single problem in your life?

Jesus saved my life, and because of my sins and the sins of others, He had to die to do it. Certainly caused problems for Him. In the garden of Gethsamane, Jesus agonized about my sins and the sins of others and the price He would pay to the point where He sweated blood.

It’s Christmas. The Savior has come. Commend this person who gives you cause to hate, to the Holy Child. In short, pray for them and don’t indulge in these negative feelings.
Merry Christmas.

What she said.

Pray for this person and forgive him or her. God used you to save this person’s life and you did your job well, apparently.

For your sake, let it go, try to detach. In all truthfulness, is this person “literally” the cause of every single problem in your life? Of course that isn’t so… Please don’t let this person have such power over you that you’re actually thinking that you regret SAVING another’s LIFE!

Peace be with you Brother/sister AlterKnight.

If you have, indeed, saved someone’s life, you are blessed and blessed abundantly. You have rescued a child of our Father, who loves him/her as much as He loves you and me. His joy towards you is two fold.
  1. You saved His son/daughter
  2. You saved HIM (Matthew 25:40b - ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’)
So far so good.

As for wishing ill on another person, I would apply the same two reasons for the Father to be sad.
  1. I am thinking ill of his son/daughter
  2. I am thinking ill of HIM.
I have harboured these sentiments, just like you have.

My humble advise to you, is confess these at your next reconciliation and be at peace with the Father, your brother/sister and yourself.

Dominus vobiscum.

Andrew

You must do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Saving your friend is what you’d have him do unto you: and such an act is meritorious and pleasing to God. Regretting a meritorious act that is pleasing to God is wrong, don’t you agree?
