Chick would, I think, say he is pro-religion. He just considers all religions other than his own to be false.

Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Pray for him to the Lord God.

Or Is He Also Anti Religion
He has many on his “Cult” list and he adds to it all the time.
Eucharisted;
Judge not, lest ye be judged.
Pray for him to the Lord God.
This isn’t judging. He has stated it himself and is proud of it. Pray, yes, but keep in mind that this man, and others like him are truly dangerous, physically by the hate and violence they insite and spiritually by all the young people they target and lead away from our Church because adults ignore them and think they are just going through a stage.

Ignoring the damage that has been done by Chick and others like him, and the future damage they are doing every day is like one with cancer pretending they don’t have it.

As do most people who practice a religion.
True, but most of us do not put so much effort into misrepresenting and attacking others that differ from our own It would be hard to find any contemporary source that generates more malicious fiction.

From my understanding, he isn’t even pro-religion. Doesn’t he argue that religion is man made and that Christianity isn’t a religion?

And yes, we must keep him in our prayers. :signofcross:

He’s a mid-Trib, dispensationalist, Independent Baptist who has been known for believing people with little credibility, such as the con man Alberto Rivera, the delusional Rebecca Brown and Elaine, the fringe scientist Kent Hovind, the convicted rapist and con man John Todd and the credential collector William Schnoebelein, among others. He is now in his mid-80’s. He told Jimmy Akin he reads this site, so if he’s reading this post, he knows we’re praying for his conversion.

##** I think he’s anti-religion - many Evangelicals are, since they often take the view that religion is man’s attempt to be at peace with God - as opposed to God’s provision of Christ to make atonement for sin that separates man from God. **

IOW, on that view, religion is condemned in Genesis 11 - it’s a Babel-activity. **** Which may help to explain why they are often opposed to what they call “ritual” in Christian worship.** Which fits with JTC’s being a Baptist & a Dispensationalist: Dispies are very pessimistic about the Church; for them, the Church & the world is going to Hell in a handcart, just as “prophesied”, so nothing can be done about it, so the Church is in no sense a sacramental presence of Christ in the world, making the Kingdom a reality, not at all. So all that remains is the Rapture. **

All of this is very logical, based on ghastly exegesis, & too depressing for words. And it explains a lo****t 😦 Dispensational Premillennialism, of which this is a part, is a deadly error. And it is rampant in Evangelicalism. 😦

He is mid-Trib ? It helps to know that 🙂 But what is an Independent Baptist ? (Sorry to be so ignorant.)

IIRC, it’s a convention that broke off another Baptist Convention for liberalizing too much, but it would be worth checking out their site if they have one, don’t go by me. 🤷

I remember his tracts. I stayed away from Catholicism when I was young. I have had a block to it for years. He is extreme and brainwashed.

He’s just a crazy old man who needs a swift kick in the butt. The sad thing, though, is that he probably wouldn’t feel it.

Nope. As some folks previously stated, he hates many religions but loves the religion he is promoting. And if you run into him (or similar dudes) saying that what they promote is not a religion, kindly inform them that according to major dictionaries, the definition of religion ranges from belief and worship of a deity to the very fact of having a set form of beliefs. They can pull bible verses at that fact all day but it won’t change or disprove it.

Personally though, even if he does show some special dislike for Catholicism (as proven in his latest tract) I pretty much rule him out to be a hater of a lot of things: music, video games, fantasy, and pretty much the whole of the 21st century. I don’t think you can say he’s anti on just one thing anymore. 🤷

What can I say? That man loves to hate.

He is totally brainwashed to think what is revealed him it what it is and anything else is false.

I would love to have him come these message boards and give us his “message.” Can you imagine? WOW!
