You keep forgetting that Jesus was born a Jew and practiced Judaism, so how could the Jews be guilty of worshipping a pagan god?? **
Where do you get the idea that i said the Jews are worshipping a pagan god?

This is what people are trying to get across, here. The Muslims and the Jews worship the same God. Which is the Christian God, Jesus, only they don’t understand that aspect of Him, yet.
For Muslims to be worshipping the same God as Christians they would have to believe that God is a Trinity and Christ is God. They deny both of these core Christian beliefs. It is impossible to claim Christians and Musliums worship the same God.

One could say the same about the Jews. The Jews also have no concept of the Trinity, and they handed Jesus over to the pagan authorities to be crucified, for claiming to be God Incarnate, and the Son of God. To this day, they still consider Him to be a blasphemer.

So, what would you say - do the Jews worship the same God that we do? Or a different God? 🤷

Jesus and the catholic Church is not the only way to be saved?

That is like saying Jesus didn’t die and rise again for your sins.

To seperate Jesus, the head, from his Body, the Church, is the equivalent of saying what He did for us does not matter.

There is no salvation outside of the Catholic Church, whether implicitly, or explicitly. Since Jesus is the only way to Heaven, how could you get there without His Body, the Church, whom he speaks through? “he who hears you, hears me”

Based on the results of this poll, I’m glad that Truth is not determined by public opinion. 😃

The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ. The Church is the Body of Christ. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. You can’t separate the Head from the Body. Therefore, salvation can only be possible through the Church.

I believe they do worship the same God, just in completely different ways. :twocents:

And did Prophet Jesus (pbuh) say that someone would come after him bringing again the Message of the Lord showing the only way to salvation from then on?
Jesus is either God (“He who has seen Me has seen the Father”) or He is a liar…

There is no other choice.

Jesus said that many would try to enter Heaven but would “not be strong enough”… (St. Luke 13:24).He said that the road to eternal life is narrow & there are few who make it… (St. Matthew 7:1) “be perfect as your father in Heaven is perfect”… (St. Matthew 5:48)obey the Commandments and, to be perfect, give up everything and follow Him… (St. Mark 10:17)…

to me, there is no more narrow way than being TRULY Catholic.

And i don’t understand so-called Christians who seem to have no real interest in the Catholic Church…

It would seem then that they to are in a similar position as the Musliums. I John 2:22-23 applies to them when he writes:

22 Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.
23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.

Anyone who denies Christ denies the Father i.e. Yahweh.

If what you say is true we might as well do away with the gospel of Christ since it is admant that there are distinctions among what is true and what is false.

Here is what I John 2:22-23 say about this:

23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.

They are not worshipping the same God as Christians do since they deny the Son as well as the Father.

You are taking this verse out of context, ja4. This is written for gnostics, who heard the Gospel, and believed that the flesh is evil, and that the Divine One would not take on human flesh. Most Muslims have never heard the gospel, and cannot be condemned for what they do not know. They are judged in the light of their own conscience. They only know the revelation of God as they received from Ishmael. however, this is the God of Abraham, and the God of Abraham is the God of the Jews, the Muslims, and the Christians.

No, ja4. They only know the God of Abraham. God did not reveal Himself as a Trinity in the time of Abraham, or even Moses, or even the Prophets. This did not happen until Jesus. They worship only what has been revealed to them.

John 4:21-22
22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.

You can’t fault people who are true to what is known to them.

Acts 8:14-17

14 Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Sama’ria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John, 15 who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit; 16 for it had not yet fallen on any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit.

Would you say that the Samaritans were believing “falsly” because they had an incomplete experience? No, the Apostles did not criticize them for not knowing the fullness. They imparted to them the fullness.
Where do you get the idea that i said the Jews are worshipping a pagan god?
Because you are saying that Judaism and Islam are “false” religions, even though they worship the God of Abraham.

The Church in Union with Rome is the key to Christ, and Christ is the key to salvation.

No, I think the Muslims believe in the Old Testament God, before Jesus came on the scene. IMO, there is only one God, one supreme being, however there are different religious traditions that worship that God.
