I was just wondering if Jesus will come soon to us ,im looking at all the things that are happening in the world ,and cant help think he is sending us a sign to be ready .The world is just getting worst and the things going with the people today is very scary .Maybe its just me but i try the best i can to do what im suppose to do to please God ,im not perfect i wish i was but when i fail i ask for forgiveness and try again.but i do think people have to change ,before its too late .

He might come today, tomorrow, the next day, or in ten thousand years. It doesn’t change our responsibility to work until the very last moment. I hope he comes in the next ten minutes personally, but we simply do not, cannot, will not know. And anyone who claims that they do is either misinformed, imaginative, or a liar.

If you read the Bible, the OT, the psalms and St. Paul, you’ll realize that all the scary stuff you talk about has been going on for millennia. Nothing new under the sun. No need to worry about it being a “sign”, but do worry about being vigilant and being ready, as nobody knows the time.

I’ve wondered the same things, so I know where you’re coming from. In a lot of ways, the world does seem to be getting worse, and I find it scary too.

But like others have said, no one knows the answer to this question. By trying your best and asking forgiveness when you fail, it sounds you’re doing a great job; that’s all any of us can really hope to do

It is clear to me that we are entering a new era of human history, made possible by modern technology. Whether this is the beginning of a brief, intense period of history just before the Second Coming or whether it is the start of a long new era for humanity like the invention of agriculture inaugurated, that I don’t know.

I THINK I will wait for the reconstruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and for the likely to
be Antichrist (the Beast) to declare himself God as suggested in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.

Biblically interesting things tend to happen around the time God’s Temple is made
and remade. Example: King Herod rebuilds the Temple, pretty soon Jesus is born.

Actually Jesus did tell us to look for the signs of the times. The key to the whole subject is balance. When unbalanced minds approach such an intense subject bad things happen.

Unfortunately, I don’t think, believe, or understand that we are led to believe by Scripture, tradition/church teaching that it is going to happen any time soon.

Jesus is indeed coming soon. The problem lies with the definition of “soon”. The world is ripe for the coming of a man referred to as the antichrist in the Bible, so he could very well appear within the next 100 years, maybe he’s just around the corner, there’s no way to really know. His reign will be short, from what I understand he will reveal his true nature about halfway into his reign, everything will seem lost and Christ will come back when no one expects him anymore. I’m puzzled by the account in La Salette, the Blessed Mother does mention a period of peace and prosperity before all these things come to pass. We’ll see.

By historical standards Europe and North America are very much in a state of peace and prosperity right now, apart from the abortion holocaust. I’m not saying this is the period prophesied at La Salette, but really things are going extremely well for us in a material sense right now.

I haven’t seen that happen. And the Lord also said:

false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders

I haven’t seen these either.

But we do not know when we will each be called to our personal judgment, for “the Son of Man comes at an hour when you don’t expect him”.

Christ does not expect you to be perfect. He asks you to strive to be perfect. To strive to love as He loves us. And He empowers you with the grace to get there. He sanctifies you until you are turned into the saint He wills you to become. For it is written:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may dwell in me.
