Yes God said we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, What i’m asking is do you think only the christian will be saved since God is in everyone, but scripture says no one comes to the Father except through the son.
We are taught by Scriptures that there is only One Name given on Heaven and Earth by which we will be Saved: Jesus!
Jesus, as the Messiah, was prophesied to come to the children of Israel (Jacob) and only to them; but it was also prophesied that in Him the Gentiles would find their hope; this was achieved through His Church:
18 Jesus came up and spoke to them. He said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Go, therefore, make disciples of all nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. And look, I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.’ (St. Matthew 28:18-20–NJB)
Did Jesus expect that His disciples would convert all of the world? Would Yahweh God make special concessions for anyone who rejects Christ, whatever the reason may be? I am not God and I do not presume to speak for Him, but what would be the purpose of the Word become Incarnate if those who ignore/reject Him are granted Salvation outside of the Resurrection and the Life?
The Church used to teach there was no salvation outside of the Catholic Church,
I’ve heard of this… and I blieve that she could have–I understand why she would have and I believe that it can be so.
but they also taught limbo for unbatised children.
…not sure about this one… I think that it falls with the myth that the Church claimed that the Earth was flat…
I think there is truth in all religions, God revealing Love and inselfishness to all his children, wherever they may be.
…for the most part, there’s good in most religions; you are welcomed to believe as you will; however I must caution you that Scriptures are not as accommodating as man; from the Old Testament we are taught that Yahweh is a Jealous God; that there’s no other God but He! Contrary to the old “…all roads lead to Rome…” not all believe systems lead to God.
Like why didn’t God strike down king David after bathsheba, God had given him so much and still he choose evil,
This is simple and complex–God chose David and made a covenant with Him; though David turned from God, God did not abandon David; still, He could not allow the product of sin to become part of His Plan and the child was not allowed to live, David was deposed from the throne, one of his own sons raped his concubines, and he was forced to flee for his life while his son sought to kill him; finally, he was not allowed to build a House for Yahweh.
God sends the rain on the just and the unjust alike, the righteous and unrighteous.
Yes, because He is not an oppressived tyrant who brakes the will of those who reject Him; rather, He is Mercyfull, allowing man to recognize his error and humbly repent and seek his Creator!
I see people picking and choosing what teaching they are going to obey, what is this rude awaking about. When does it occur,
Precisely my point; but not only do they pick and chose… many are also teaching this form of “spirituality” or theology to others; what is the rude awakening and when does it happen?:
21 'It is not anyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” who will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but the person who does the will of my Father in heaven.
22 When the day comes many will say to me, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, work many miracles in your name?”
23 Then I shall tell them to their faces: I have never known you; away from me, all evil doers!
24 ‘Therefore, everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on rock.
25 Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and hurled themselves against that house, and it did not fall: it was founded on rock.
26 But everyone who listens to these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand.
27 Rain came down, floods rose, gales blew and struck that house, and it fell; and what a fall it had!’ (St. Matthew 7:21-27)
God said to forgive 70*7 that he was a God of Love, look at peter the first pope. Mercy is what pleases me not sacrifice.
I think that you are confused; we cannot demand Justice and Mercy unless we humbly submit to God’s Will; though God’s Will is that all shall be Saved, He will not force anyone to capitulate to His Commands; we are given a choice:
19 Today, I call heaven and earth to witness against you: I am offering you life or death, blessing or curse. Choose life, then, so that you and your descendants may live,
20 in the love of Yahweh your God, obeying his voice, holding fast to him; for in this your life consists, (Deuteronomy 30:19-20a)
We must understand that there is but one choice; we cannot chose death and expect to obtain Life!
Maran atha!
