How can I defend that Jesus Christ is really the Messiah according to our Catholic Theology and tradition? I must admit I cannot defend the faith in this matter and non-Christian groups or Jews naturally have the final say in a discussion.
Those who allege Jesus Christ is not the Messiah use not only the scriptural arguments: “wrong” prophecy quoting in the New Testament (such as “the calling from Egypt” -“from Egypt I called my son”, in which God actually calls Israel and not the Messiah), lack of real relation with the Old Testament and Substitution Theology; they also use tradition background as what the Messiah is supposed to accomplish (such as peace in the world when he is alive, which Jesus allegedly did not make, hence the origin of the Second Comming Theology).
I would appreciate the help.
The LORD bless you all
