I’m sorry to intrude, I feel like such a stalker… Anyway, are you sure you wouldn’t rather have this child in your home, you would at least be able to keep an eye on what is going on. Maybe you could negotiate being able to do some Catholic things at home too. Maybe something to bring up on Retrouvaille… I don’t know anything about JW’s, so if this is a really BAD idea, just ignore me.
I just want you to know I really empathize with your situation. My ex-husband & I were married when I was still away from the Catholic church. I returned to the fold after our children were born, and he let me raise them Catholic, though he didn’t want anything to do with it himself. Not being able to share the same faith left a big hole in our marriage.
He had many female friends, which often left me feeling very uncomfortable. Some of these ‘friends’ also propositioned him, which he would brag about. He refused to change his manner around them, since he ‘wasn’t doing anything’.
He eventually left me, because he wasn’t being ‘fulfilled’, and moved in with another woman.
I don’t want to be negative, I pray your marriage survives and that God gives you all the strength you will need.
