Is kissing my girlfriend a sin?

Is kissing my girlfriend a sin? I keep hearing different opinions on this website. Is kissing (making out or just small kisses) sinning? I’m falling in love with her and this I thought/think is a way of showing affection outside of marriage without fornicating (this breaking Gods law). Note: neither of us have the intention of going any further then kissing, hugging, and hand holding. Though this is true, every time I kiss her I become aroused. I’m not sure if she is arroused or not.
