I say some concern about what may lie beyond might make a difference in how one lives. Apparently, Hitler didn’t worry about it and look at all the good he did.😦

O death, where [is] thy sting?

O grave, where [is] thy victory?

what death?

🙂

Great question. I’m not sure. I guess it kind of is. If we didn’t have heaven in our sites, we would gravitate toward earthly possessions. It really makes you think about what we’re living for. Wow.

Gestation is a preparation for infancy, which is a preparation for childhood, which is a preparation for adulthood, which is a preparation for death, which is a preparation for eternal existence.

The purpose of our creation is to love God, and be loved by God in Heaven. The purpose of the universe is to give us a place to live while learning about God, and practicing loving him.

So the answer to your question is “Yes.”

Life isn’t about preparing for death - it’s about preparing for the afterlife - the eternal afterlife.

Really?

Well, let’s start raping and pillaging then, unless someone can stop us. All pirates unite and let us ensure that this life will be in wealth and pleasure, regardless who we maim or kill to achieve it!!
