Is Listening to Metal Music a Sin?

I wanted to know if listening to metal or hardcore or screamo or whatever you want to call it a is a sin. Some of these bands do have christian lyrics and have no profanity while other bands do use profanity. This music has helped me through rough times in the past and still helps me today.
