This does not concern a thought that one has with respect to one’s future state of marriage. If we think of the chaste sex we will have in our future marriage, it is not a sin
We commit a sin when we think about the sex we want to have outside marriage

I’m just saying, an acquaintance’s confessor told him that was the one thing we could tell the devil.

…
We commit a sin when we think about the sex we want to have outside marriage
When a person who is not married voluntarily dwells in thought, for pleasure, on what will only be proper in a future marriage, it is sinful. It is inordinate for the single state.

Catechism
2351 Lust is disordered desire for or inordinate enjoyment of sexual pleasure. Sexual pleasure is morally disordered when sought for itself, isolated from its procreative and unitive purposes.

  1. Acts 19:13-20
  2. My pastor, who said not to talk to demons, because that is what they want. They want to start a dialogue with us.
  3. Most recently, on Catholic Answers Live, December 17, 2018. Just go to the radio section on the main Catholic Answers page. It is Fr. Hugh Barbour who is answering a question beginning at 20:05 into the program.
If I was computer savvy enough, I would get the link here so all you had to do was click on it, but I’m not.

even Adam and Eve covered themselves after sinning, because they became aware of sin, specifically that they were naked.

It is also a matter of common sense. Jesus said that if you look at a woman with lust in your heart then you will have committed the sin of adultery against her. The ninth commandment says that we should not covet another man’s wife. Even if she is not married if you are leering at her then according to Jesus you are committing adultery with / against her. And for those who have temptations related to masterbation you are essentially doing the devil’s work for him by looking at pornography.

you can look and admire the form of a woman and a naked woman at that and find her beauty beyond compare, it is lusting after her for sexually pleasure that causes the soul to go after the flesh.
Have you seen the Vatican art works? plenty of nudity on display there.
Pleasure is hard wired into us, it is the denying of the pleasure that makes us Saints. it sounds like you are way ahead of most of us here so …God bless you and have a blessed Christmas.

I don’t think it’s healthy to go looking at nudity saying you can view them as beauty and respect. That’s unlikely given lust and people will probably objectify the women for pleasure.

Matt Fradd who is world reknown as an anti-porn speaker says in theory one could view nudity like in an image or video with no lust and only beauty but in reality this is basically impossible and is the near-occasion of sin at best.

We can say that the human body was made in God’s image and is a beautiful thing and shouldn’t cause people to objectify and disrespect it but that’s what happens too often. That’s why in my opinion, nudity shouldn’t be something anyone views outside of marriage and in marriage it should be a respectful and loving thing not an objectifying thing.

I just don’t think it’s a good idea to go and look at nude statues or nude art or paintings. I get we should in theory be able to view these as beautiful and art and not in disrespect but isn’t there value in the phrase “vailing what is sacred?” Let’s be honest here, what can one gain from viewing this nude art? I can’t see anything it merits you. Sistine Chapel, yes is very beautiful but is it really healthy to stare at the nudity?

Perhaps I do not understand this and if so correct me, I struggled with porn addiction for 8 years so I’m very against any exposure to nudity outside of marriage in a loving way because it’s too much near-occasion

Basically it comes down to this. Would you cheat on your partner? Hopefully the answer is no. If you allow yourself to be aroused over someone else you have cheated on them in your heart. I’m not talking about liking someone , friendship or thinking ‘they’re handsome /pretty ‘ but if you have thought about someone sexually and dwelled on it that’s cheating according to the Bible
