I always wondered about this. What is the traditional Christian view of Lucifer and Satan? Are they one and same? Is Lucifer the Angel before the fall, and Satan after his fall?

I know what Lucifer means and the name Satan. I just want to know what the clear view if whether Lucifer and Satan are one and same.

I don’t know.

What about Devil and Beelzebub? There supposed to be Satan and Lucifer’s name too.

Or “Ancient Serpent”.

With Love and grace,

Yes.

The difference is in the linguistic origins of the name. “Satan” is derived from the Hebrew language. The name “Lucifer” is of Latin origin (and was used in St. Jerome’s Latin Vulgate Bible). The names both refer to the same angelic/demonic entity.
