Okay, then. Answer me this: did Jesus lie in the following passage …[bibledrb]John 7:8-10[/bibledrb]… He said that He wasn’t going to go but went anyway?
Jesus did not lie. He meant it truley the first time, then had a change of heart.

peace

Jesus, being God, and knowing all that was to befall Him, had a change of heart? I find that hard to accept.

you find it easier to accuse Jesus of lying?

Jeremias (Jeremiah) 18:8
If that nation against which I have spoken, shall repent of their evil, I also will repent of the evil that I have thought to do to them.

Jeremias (Jeremiah) 18:10
If it shall do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice: I will repent of the good that I have spoken to do unto it.

peace

No, I am going by the definition which I presented originally – the action is only sinful if you with hold information from someone who was entitled to it.

Okay, then. Answer me this: did Jesus lie in the following passage …John 7:8-10 (Douay Rheims)
8 Go you up to this festival day, but I go not up to this festival day: because my time is not accomplished.

9 When he had said these things, he himself stayed in Galilee.

10 But after his brethren were gone up, then he also went up to the feast, not openly, but, as it were, in secret.

It was my understanding that He in fact did not go up to the festival on that day. The feast was eight days long, and He send His disciples up without Him. A few days later, He went up by Himself.

No lie there, as far as I can see.

This was my understanding as well. Obviously, we know Jesus didn’t lie as He did not sin. The question is simply HOW He didn’t lie.

I had a lot of discrimination problems in my jobs beccause i am a woman. I was lawyas asked stupid questions like when do you plan to have a child. I had collegues whoes contracts were not prolonged because they got pregnant. In my last job i came back from vacation and my team leader asked me if i gor pregnant durring this time. I took as a joke and i said “yeah, i wish”. Two weeks after that i was fired.

Now at my present work i said that my husband and I are celebrating a year of marriage this Sunday. One of my collegues asked me if i think of children and i was scared to tell him yes, which is the truth. We are trying for some time, we are using NFP and we are using ovulation tests to establish the fertile periods. I told him “if it happens, it happens, but there’s no definite plan.”
It is always a sin to lie. I’m not sure if it ever rises to the level of a grave sin, but it is never not sinful.

You do have other options, of course – that it is wrong to lie does not necessarily imply an obligation to admit the truth. You can refuse to answer, either on moral or legal principle.

As others have said, if you were a victim of discrimination, you should pursue legal remedy.
