Is marriage allowed if one of the would-be spouses is sterile?

I am planning on getting married soon with my girlfriend of three years. She suffered an illness that left her with little-to-none chances of being able to have a child. I love her dearly and want to receive the sacrament of marriage with her, but I have been told that we cannot be married as it will be impossible for us to procreate. Is this true?

What you were told is incorrect. While the inability to have intercourse is an impediment to marriage, sterility is not. The Code of Canon Law (1084 §1-3) is clear on this:
Antecedent and perpetual impotence to have intercourse, whether on the part of the man or the woman, whether absolute or relative, nullifies marriage by its very nature.
If the impediment of impotence is doubtful, whether by a doubt about the law or a doubt about a fact, a marriage must not be impeded nor, while the doubt remains, declared null.
Sterility neither prohibits nor nullifies marriage…
