I am a non-Catholic, yet baptized in the name of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
I am pulled to two sacraments of the Catholic church in particular and I’m trying to learn more and understand more about the Catholic church in general.
I struggle understanding and accepting praying to Mary and the Saints. 1 Timothy 2:5 clearly tells me that there is but one mediator between God and man and that is Jesus Christ. So, I would struggle to give Mary and/or the Saints the responsibility of a mediator on my behalf, and frankly I would struggle to believe they would have any concern for the prayers of those still living on earth.
Is it fair for me to think of Mary and the Saints as a mediator between Jesus and myself, and Jesus as the only mediator to God?
