P.S. (There are other books like Flatland, by the way. I have Sphereland too. There are movies based on both, but I haven’t seen them yet. And there are The Annotated Flatland, Flatterland (“Like Flatland, Only More So”), Spaceland… Looks like lots of fun. )
Then just today, my husband put on a video of Geddy Lee telling about the Holocaust, about how his parents survived Auschwitz. I told him that’s zikaron, & that anamnesis, which is in “Do this in remembrance of me”, is the Greek for zikaron. (Jews have a thing called “Zikaron Basalon”, “Memory in the Living Room”, where people get together in living rms to memorialize the Holocaust.) This thread is about the zikaron/anamnesis in the Mass & Liturgy. In my catechesis, I was told in the Liturgy heaven & earth meet. So then & there, time is folded back to the Crucifixion, heaven condescends to earth, & earth rises to heaven.
