Nom-… I believe that you believe what you just said-and I believe that you and I are coming from different places so we may never meet in the middle…I believe you do not see yourself as a zealot-I however think your words are painfully close and have no mercy in them for someone who is trying to find their way to God…so whose work are you doing-satan’s or God’s… the proof of course is in the fruits of your words…do they make someone seek God’s love and know they will be welcomed if they turn to Him- or do they feel more alone and full of guilt that God would want nothing to do with them…it is not the sinners that satan uses to affront God-but those who profess to love God and yet see themselves as spokespersons for the wrath of God that keep others at arms length…you find what you seek Nom…if you seek satan and his demons in everything- that is what you will find-but if you seek God in everything-you will find it and the rest has no power in your life…God is all about Love-Jesus is all about the Love of God- fear is about punishment…you can’t be made perfect in God’s Love if you fear…God Bless

1John 4:16-18…
Fear is about punishment?

You evidently do not know how to fear the Lord then, since you think that fear is punishment.

As far as what you said in the rest of your post, it is evident that you do not know what the Church teaches and has always taught concerning these matters. You make hasty judgements upon others, saying they worship/serve satan, and then do not explain your point of view or why it is that you believe this person worships satan.

this is called calumny and detraction, two mortal sins to your soul.

I would repent if I were you and go to confession.

justinthemartyr Look up the Chapter and verse I posted-it is Biblical- the Church does not claim authority to go beyond this- in fact this is very much what Pope Benedict emphasized on his trip to the US…God is Love

…be careful not to judge- in doing so you judge yourself-… I forgive you…hopefully God will too

…I however think your words are painfully close and have no mercy in them for someone who is trying to find their way to God…so whose work are you doing-satan’s or God’s…
God’s.
the proof of course is in the fruits of your words…
Which are?..
do they make someone seek God’s love and know they will be welcomed if they turn to Him- or do they feel more alone and full of guilt that God would want nothing to do with them…
If someone was **closely **reading my words, they would see that the message was to seek God and turn from their sins, where they would be welcomed. If they were trying to give themselves permission to keep on masturbating without at least trying to stop, I suppose that they’d probably see me as trying to lay a guilt trip. No one is perfect. But you have to at least try.
it is not the sinners that satan uses to affront God-
Are you kidding? We are all sinners. Satan is happy when he seperates anyone of us from turning to God in repentence. He is **especially **happy when he convinces young people not to see their sins as serious matters in the first place, which helps them to keep committing sin.
but those who profess to love God and yet see themselves as spokespersons for the wrath of God that keep others at arms length…
Jesus took “the Wrath of God” upon himself on the Cross. When you look at the Cross, with Jesus nailed to it and bleeding, you are supposed to be reminded that he sacrificed himself in our place. That should be us on the cross. The crucifixion paid the price for our sins. So to take ANY sin for granted is to deny Christ and the value of his sacrifice. I’m beginning to believe you were poorly catechised.
you find what you seek Nom…if you seek satan and his demons in everything- that is what you will find-
And if you ignore Satan and the temptation to sin, what you will find will be worse. God has already won the victory in the war, JCnMe. But do not be deceived: Satan wins battles. He’s got you good.
but if you seek God in everything-you will find it and the rest has no power in your life…
And if you ignore your sins and commit the sin of presumption, it is not God you have embraced.
.God is all about Love-Jesus is all about the Love of God- fear is about punishment…you can’t be made perfect in God’s Love if you fear…God Bless
I’m not talking about that kind of fear. The term “The Fear of God” does not mean what you think it means, nor does the term “The Wrath of God.” I usually don’t speak this way, but for YOU it has become necessary. It has been pointed out before that the term “Do not be afraid” appears 365 times in the Bible in one form or another, once for every day of the year. We must *never *fear to approach God with humility and a contrite heart. But the term “The Fear of God” means “respect” like a child that knows his father loves him, but fears to break a window because he knows there are consequences. How do you not understand this? “The Wrath of God” is the necessary consequence of sin—a wrath that Jesus took upon himself on the Cross. You seem to forget that the love of God had a very terrible price: crucifixion.

Allow me to repeat myself: People turn away from God when their desire to sin wins out over their desire to be obediant to His Word. You have forgotten that our friendship with God had a price, and God paid it himself, and so we must not fear to turn to him in love and thanksgiving for his suffering, and to unite our suffering to His.

In reference to masturbation, it is a very “normally occuring” sin, and you should not allow yourself to lapse into a personality disorder over it, as *many *suffer from it as can be demostrated by reading all of these posts. Have confidence in God’s mercy and love, and the devil will be unable to defeat you. But to pretend that masturbation isn’t a sin is to open the door to temptation, and let Satan walk right in.

…so now you are an authority on how the Holy Spirit speaks to my heart when I am lead to Chapter and verse…again it goes back to intent-and if the intent of your words to some who came here to find comfort and direction was to HELP-then God will make their path straight regardless of your bumbling.and seemingly self righteousness…that is how you and many others here come across Nom-at least for the few posts I read-for the record- I don’t have a problem with this temptation so I was not seeking any words of wisdom- only letting others who are young and impressionable know God loves them and you are not representing that aspect very well… but I will say this again for you-try not to mention satan’s name too often- everytime you do he hears you and focuses on you and who you are talking to- so while you may feel you are safe- someone who is on less stable ground may not be… seek God’s Love in all things… God Bless

Nom,
You rock brother 👍

JC… look… no one is condemning you here… really, everyone here is or has come to CAF because they needed help or was in some kind of storm/battle with sin…
We all know God loves you unconditionally whether you turn from your sin or not… But we also know that God has created you for a high purpose and to live a life worthy of that calling to follow His Son…

I am a woman on my 20s. I have never masturbated in my life. But I would be very sad to find a husband who did and who would not care if I did. I would see it as a lack of understanding within him, that might later turn into other sins. I would be much grieved and concerned as would any other Catholic woman. I say this to you as a young woman. I don’t know if you are married… But if you are not and you want to get married one day you must try to prepare your self for the beauty of married life and the fulfilment of mutual love and respect for your own sexuality and that of your spouse which is only found in the marital embrace.

I know its touch for you, but you gotta respect your self and start asking: “would I be doing this right now if Jesus was sitting next to me”… that’s a good rule also when you choose litterature and movies to watch. Because Jesus is really there… loving you and calling you to live as a son of God.

All this is said with love… okay? You are our brother and we believe that Christian life is actually “the better and happier way”, also for you. We are not trying to put burdens on people, but to help them keep focused so they end up with greater happiness, both in this life and in eternity.

👍

…so now you are an authority on how the Holy Spirit speaks to my heart when I am lead to Chapter and verse

.
Oh brother. You just love to take me out of context, don’t you. If you think, for one minute, that you heard the Holy Spirit telling you it’s okay to masturbate, then that was not the Holy Spirit.
…again it goes back to intent-
