These sites are reprehensible and reflect an effort to do exactly what you condemned me for. Even though I did it in a totally different spirit, and later apologized. Now who is acting Christian?

You would never ever find this kind of trash on a quasi-offical Mormon site. This is great evidence for the fact that we are in fact persecuted by the Catholic Church.

One of the old tactics of Mormons is deceit to make their faith appear palatable (something it is not), so sorry, I can’t buy that Mormons actually believe that in the same way that we Catholics do.

Together with his heavenly wife, the Father raised his son in the council of the gods.” …“Mormons now believe that Christ’s divinity is virtually equal to that of his Father’s. Those come from one web site, which is the one you are currently on. There is nothing wrong with them. Certainly, Mormons don’t like them, but neither do they like the truth. I believe in the one Church that Christ established, so the Christian in this conversation could only be me. If you are really Mormon, then you are not Christian. It is very Christian to tell the truth. Mormons don’t tell the truth when they convey their faith system accurately.

Probably the most accurate way of putting it is that God organized our spirits, but each of us were distinct eternal intelligences. So it becomes a definitional issue of what is an “intelligence” and what is a spirit. God formed spirit bodies out of distinct intelligences.

What’s a potential thing? As opposed to an actual thing? You can’t argue with the logic, but the words don’t mean anything. Things don’t just pop in and out of existence like they’re potential one second and actual the next.

If there is any constant in the universe, it is change, not stasis.

The only reason we think unchanging things are “perfect” is because of the Greek language where “perfect” means “complete”

Heraclitus was a great philosopher but a poor communicator. If he had carried the day instead of Aristotle, the whole world would be different. If Aquinas had studied Heraclitus instead of Plato and Aristotle, Christianity might have stayed like Mormonism. It is fun to speculate.

Anyway, there is no point in trying to convince you or even talk. You are too locked into your pov. Nothing wrong with that-- you have constructed your reality and it works for you. I wish you well, you are obviously a smart person.

Potential and actual are common English words. I’m sorry for confusing you. I didn’t realize English wasn’t your native language.
