Is Muslims' Allah one and the same as the Christian God in the bible?

A priest I asked said yes. He gave as reason that Muslims acknowledged Abraham as their father whose God is our God in the bible. I said Muslims do not acknowledge the God of the Jews who happens to be the same God as the Christians, therefore, they have a different god. Can you explain?

The priest is correct. The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) states, “[Muslims] profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day” (CCC 841).
