I recently have gotten interested in the Woodstock Festival of 1969. I’ve been listening to a lot of music from it, and I love it! My question is, should I be listening to it, because of all the horrible stuff that went down at that festival? I think it would have been a fun place to be, but I feel guilty for thinking so… Thanks for your opinions!

having been to the sixties, I can assure you that everthing in it was a sin

The music was terryifc but their actions very sinful. But don´t worry, the music is good.

Some of the greatest modern music came out of the 60s (as well as the 80s). Sinful? Depends on the song, doesn’t it? Songs that glorify illicit sex and drugs, etc. are one thing. Songs that glorify love (or sing about the joys of driving your new Chevy!) are something different. In any event, being interested in learning about Woodstock and the times, including the negative aspects, is unlikely to be sinful in itself.

I can’t speak to the sinfulness of interest in that particular concert, but it was a watershed cultural event. I was in Syracuse, NY, going to USAF basic language school at the time, and some of my classmates actually made it to the concert.

Funny–MTV or one of the music channels ran the movie recently, and I watched the first 45 minutes or so of it. Brother, did that take me back!
