And that’s why I want to know what are the bad ones; I’ve used that Bible and checked the footnotes for further meaning. Considering the Bible has an Imprimatur and Nahil Obstat, I didn’t think anything of it.Like I said, there are plenty more like that (and worse).

For study Bibles with commentary, the Navarre Bible and the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible are probably the best. There is also the Haydock commentary, that goes along with the Douay-Rheims bible. I know the Ignatius one uses the RSV-CE, 2nd Ed.
I prefer the RSV-CE, 2nd edition for myself. It is a good translation without inclusive language; the Deuterocanonicals are integrated into the text. (There are only a few Protestant Bibles that include them, and those put them in a separate section.)
The only reason I don’t like the D-R is because my primary Bible in my Protestant years was the KJV, and I still prefer its language in many places, especially the 23rd Psalm. So you can call that personal prejudice. Plus - and this is a much smaller quibble - the D-R numbers the Psalms differently, so that the 23rd psalm I know and love becomes the 22nd.
I dislike the NAB for all the reasons other posters have mentioned.
