Is my wife not worthy to receive Holy Communion? Revisited

Hello, My wife is about to become catholic, this Easter; However, she feels that she is not worthy to continue to receive holy communion, every Sunday mass. She mentioned to me that after doing a little reading “that if you feel unworthy to receive communion it is wrong for you to do so!”

Please help me out here. What may I do to convince her that receiving communion is good for her? Or, should I even try to convince her, or leave it be? 🤷

Worthiness is not a matter of feeling. Of ourselves, none of us is worthy. If we have a mortal sin on our souls, then we refrain from receiving the Eucharist until being absolved because to do so would be a sacrilege.

So long as we are in the state of grace, it is an insult to the Lord to disregard His offer of intimacy when He suffered so that we might have it! Yes–He loves us that much! Your wife sounds like she doubts this.

CORRECTION—I answered this in haste and forgot that she is not a Catholic yet. She is not allowed to receive Holy Communion in the Catholic Church until she actually becomes a Catholic!
