I got mix results. Some will not go to church. Bit my priest says that we must go since it is already guarded by the police. So I went

Jenjen1, my friend is in the United States right now. He’s married to an American woman. They have a son together. His mother recently came to the US to help with the new baby. She is returning in June so pray for her. It’s likely that, due to the course of his studies and his wife’s work situation, they will probably stay in the US for the next few years.

Hmm… actually the police is also being targeted by terorist. Several police stations were bombed. So not one is really safe, including the police.

I think you and your fellow parishioners should consider finding a place to go to Mass in secret

I pray in the Name of Jesus, that the devil will leave
your church, the meeting place, a holy place of
worship and prayer be shielded from all threats
both physically AND spiritually. That those who
attend will be able to concentrate on worship.
Immaculate Mary, spread your mantle of protect-
ion over Jenjen1’s church’s sanctuary, the Upper
Room where the place of the Presence of the Lord
is felt.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is w/ you,
blessed are you among women,
blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for Jenjen1 and her congregation
both now and at the hour of death.
Amen.

The Church does not necessarily demand that we go into danger. Sometimes we escape “like a bird from the fowler’s net.” When it wasn’t yet His time to die, Jesus walked away from an angry crowd.

OTOH, going to Mass when times are dangerous bears witness to Christ, and gives Him glory.

This is one of those times when you should pray and ask God for guidance.

I know we will all be praying for you.

I think that it is very easy for those who don’t live in this situation of personal danger to sit in judgement of others who do and to make pronouncements for others that they really don’t have to deal with.
This reminds me of something that happened some years ago. There was an incident of violence involving the Ku Klux Klan in Greensboro. I remember the priest saying how some of the faithful were afraid to go to mass the following Sunday. I think that the situation in Indonesia is of a greater magnitude.
I would like to encourage you to go to mass every Sunday. If you are afraid to go then I understand and I will not sit in judgement of you.

The very fact that you sit back and thumb
your nose at others shows YOU are judging,
my friend. Were you personally involved w/
that incident in Greensboro? WE believers
are ONE BODY and if one part suffers, we
ALL suffer, to some degree. So the OP has
wisely asked for prayers from the fellowship
of believers here on CAForums.

Thank you Brian. I will be following what my priest says about this situation.
