Is not our religion profound to the average person growing up in this world?

Deception and illusion is everywhere in this world, hiding the face of God. Can we really blame the average religious person for being lukewarm and there being so many non-believers? Even those who consider themselves devout seem more interested in church politics than in actually taking the the time to consider the implication that we are created creatures, very small and fragile in the grand scheme of reality.

I think the average person sees the Church as a system of rules and regulations.

If they dig deeper they find more!

Here I go with God’s elect again. If you are truly devout God is more than Church politics - and I mean everything from resisting CDR to feeding the poor in Africa and knocking Trump/pulling for the EU.

Agree it is quite a temptation to blame the Church for some sort of failure in evangelizing the atheist masses. But I would say here that God is love - his rays reach into every soul - if they shine through that is up to the individual or rather for the sake of consistency I will say again I think this comes from the grace of God - given and accepted, by HIS grace.

I can feel the sadness in your post. Yes there is deception and illusion in the world and we call him satan. He is busy at work all over the world, yet he can not hide God from us. We cannot just give up and say this is the way things are, Jesus is right there, maybe for some He is in the mist. all you have to do is walk through it and as He promised you will find Him. We are fragile in the grand scheme of things, but with Love and Mercy radiating from Jesus into our hearts we will always find our Way. God Bless:
