Is "Oh my God!" a sin?

I hear the phrase “O my God!” everywhere, on tv family and friends conversation. Lately, I’ve gotten a lot stronger with my faith by Catholic bible studies and a lot of reading on my own. So, when I hear this phase out of anger or surprise, I cringe because I feel it’s breaking the first commandment. Is this phrase taking the Lord’s name in vain?
