Our 15 year old daughter has been diagnosed with functional ovarian cysts that linger, burst, and re-occur almost monthly. These are very painful at times, requiring medication and sometimes missing school. Our doctor has recommended that she take birth control pills to help prevent more cysts from forming. Because she would be taking these pills for something other than their originally intended use, is there a moral issue or anything else that we should be concerned about?

Hi,

The Church allows the use of birth control, only for reasons other than contraception. So yes, your daughter would be allowed such use.
