Yes – it is is though it is changed a bit.

See the Manual of Indulgences

As to the meaning of indulgences --no that is not what it means (it is not about salvation …one must be IN a state of grace to receive it…IN a state of salvation …living in the grace of Jesus Christ the risen Lord)

See the above Manual for a lengthy discussion.

You can also search the main CA site.

The Catechism notes this: scborromeo.org/ccc/p2s2c2a4.htm#X

Hi,

I have seen on several places about plenary indulgence Pius X granted at moment of death.

Here is example:

acatholiclife.blogspot.com/2010/08/plenary-indulgence-at-hour-of-death.html

I searched on Vatican pages, but I was unable to locate any document about this plenary indulgence.

Does anyone now is this true? If yes, doesn’t that plenary indulgence guarantee salvation, no matter what you do the rest of your life?
Yes, you may catch the boat at the last minute…

Bookcat, thank you for the answer. Indulgence is possible only if sins have already been forgiven. Now it is clear to me. 🙂

You mention that Pius X plenary indulgence has been changed a bit. How?
