Is pope going to crake down on priests

ok, i have heard i think from father corapi. that a bishop was not ordaining priests if they were not pro gay. i also have heard other storys of jsut plane ol bad priests is the pope going to do somthing? i mean in some cases its so openly bad why is nothing done about it? everytime i see a jesuit on T.V they are left wingers. and taht relly gets under my skin saint ignatius was a great soldier of christ but so many years later his order seems so bad. i cant stand a bad priest they hurt the church so much. i have great priests in my area thank god and it jsut gets to me to see theis men made to look so bad becasue of a select few. i jsut fel like the church needs to go on the attack for once i mean relly get out thier.

I know a ton of devout, sincerely Catholic Jesuits, so I would have to respectfully disagree with your “his order seems so bad” statement.

I’m also curious: any reason you chose your username? A very interesting one, I must admit.

While I have met one devout Jesuit and know of a few other shining examples (Frs. Pacwa and Fessio), I must seriously question the faith of the order itself. It has very few colleges or universities that remain “faithful.” It tolerates within its ranks priests who deny all sorts of Catholic teaching. The Jesuit professor of New Testament at the University of Notre Dame, for instance, denies that Christ intended to found a Church (a position seemingly en vogue at the present). There are good men. But believe me, from what many Americans get to see on TV and in their schools, the order DOES look so bad.

I know a bunch who are devout, but I do tend to agree…
