Is President Trump pro-life/pro-choice

Last comment because it is better for charity that we do not discuss this anymore.

To partition my stements under the banner “Anti Trump” is inaccurate at best.

I love every person, that includes Mr Trump. Do I feel he is the best person to serve as POTUS, I do not. This is not binary as I can disagree with a person’s actions or words yet not be anti that person.

False equivalent.
Trump is the president. He should be setting an example for all others in Washington.

Then you need to read my comment more carefully. No where did I say you did not love President Trump.

Your posting history on any issue regarding the President indicates you are against everything he does. I cannot recall anytime you have spoke in favor of anything President Trump has done, even objectively good things like speaking at the March for Life.

I disagree with many things some people have done, but rarely do I find fault with EVERYTHING someone does.

Here’s the thing, President Trump personally may have believed pro choice in the past. But he campaigned on pro life AND kept his campaign promises. That is what is important! He keeps his promises!

Of course he should set an example, as should all politicians. Obama called changing positions “evolving”. With others it’s been called “waffling”. Its disingenuous to hold someone to a higher standard just because you don’t like him.

I believe Trump is pro and anti anything that wins him power, as are 99% of politicians.

But Barack Obama is no longer president. How long is the former president supposed to be held to a higher standard? He was chastised and criticized by many throughout his presidency. Republicans, the press, and Democrats who disagreed with him said so on a daily basis.
Once a person is elected, he has to take a few hits by those who disagree with his policies. And those who disagree with the way he treats others.
Whenever anyone seems to criticize Trump, those who love him try to create a false equivalence. “Others were worse.” “Everyone does it.” Blah, blah, blah.
The fact is for most of his life, Trump was Pro-Choice. Then he ran for president and suddenly he was Pro-Life. Who knows where he will stand after the 2020 election, he may go back to Pro-Choice.
Look at the way he treats people. First they are great because they support him. Then they are horrible and we never Trumpers. They they are run over by the bus.

…but he keeps his campaign promises.
It’s not like he’s a pol who’s always promising all things to all people; to the contrary if he were like other pols he’d be promising everyone everything then not delivering. Trump is the opposite: “here’s what I’ll do, like it or leave it,” then he delivers.

But Barack Obama is no longer president. How long is the former president supposed to be held to a higher standard?
I’m not holding him to a higher standard. I’m pointing out that politicians changing their position is nothing new under the sun.

I dont think women should be forced to have a child out of Rape, Incest or other assaults!
Before abortion was legal, it was this type of argument that pushed abortion to be legalized. Then of course a woman got pregnant by her boyfriend and didn’t want the baby. Now, to get an abortion, does she need to accuse someone of rape? Then the argument became, why do we have to put these women through this trauma that there needs to be some kind of police report or accusation? Why can’t she just get the abortion because she is asking for one? Let’s treat everyone fairly. If it’s available to some, it should be available to everyone.

And there you have the slippery slope.
