Is presiding over death penalty cases a problem for Catholic judges?

Following up on the question about Catholic attorneys, what about Catholic judges? I suppose presiding over divorce cases is not a problem, but what about death penalty cases? At what point does a Catholic judge begin to have a problem administering the law?
