Is Purgatory in the Bible? Is the Rapture?

Does the Bible mention Purgatory? Please direct me to any chapter or verses in the Bible that says anything about Purgatory. My mother passed away 5 yrs ago and I would like to know more about our faith’s (Catholic) belief regarding the state of the soul after death.

Also will you explain about the rapture. Do Catholics believe in this?
