Actually, I think religion is easier than the alternative, but it is different from what much of modern society might describe as how they would choose to live their life.
Just as an example, one of the cardinal virtues is Temperance, which includes many things and affects many areas of life but which is perhaps best known as either moderate drinking of alcohol or total abstinence.
Consider the drunk as the alternative life pattern to that of temperance. The drunk has a very hard life. When they are drunk, they are completely out of touch with reality. They often engage in fighting which can be very destructive, and which can even destroy family relationships. The abuse of alcohol does grievous harm to numerous body parts and may dramatically shorten life. At the very least, hangovers are unpleasant and a total waste of time because while someone is hungover, they’re of very little use to themselves or anyone else. Excess drinking often leads to loss of job, or worse, sometimes even something as catastrophic as loss of family.
In comparison to that ugly scenario, people who lead a temperate life have it easy.

religion is easy although we may not understand everything we beleive. Living a faithfilled life, however, is hard. It is not easy living God’s will everyday.

That verse seems to be talking only about the Ramadan Fast. From everything that I have seen you post, you seem to be a devout, serious Muslim. Would you say that the daly practice of your faith is easy or is it difficult? Are there times that you don’t feel like doing something but do it anyway because it is required? Are there sacrifices that you make even if you don;t want to, because they are required of you?
In Chrisitanity, we understand that there is a constatn struggle to become and stay holy. You are tempted daily. It requires faith, hope, love and sacrifice to live the Christian life. Is this different than Islam?

No. It is supposed to be a natural outward flow from the participant to God, and subsequently a natural reception of communion with the Divine. This relational exchange is predicated on love. There is nothing hard about that at all. That is religion.
What keeps us from this natural flow of loving communication between our Maker and ourselves? Now we enter hard, because human nature doesn’t like change. And in order for the natural to be reestablished there must be great change. But that change isn’t religion, it’s something else.

I think that a true religion centers one’s total being with his/her Creator and surrounding reality. A listless life is no life at all; a productive life in which a person contributes to the common good is highly valuable. A disciplined life is a productive life. But if any of this becomes too highly self-centered, it doesn’t succeed.
Also, the essence of Christianity is supposed to be love and compassion. Once this is placed on the backburner, you’re going to run into trouble.

The constant struggle is there in Islam as well, but there are concessions for things one cannot do under certain conditions or it is difficult to perform, so that makes it easy.
Judaism, Christianity and Islam are sister/brother religions in origin, as I believe.

I think it all depends upon where one is in their walk with God. Jesus teaches us in Scripture what it is to live the Christian life. We read the parables and we see the examples of faith who he proclaimed saved by their faith. We read, study and meditate and most importantly pray that we gain the understanding and wisdom and knowledge from it and we become more and more endowed into the people of God. I think that when one gets to this point and has this kind of relationship with God, the religion part gets very easy. I think that when we are where we need to be with God, the plan of salvation is simple.

Yes - because of our fallen nature, our sinful tendencies, our whiny little minds that think the demands are too hard or so unfair.
No - because of love and grace. I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me. There is much delight and joy and peace in the Lord and all His ways.

Christians need to worship their Creator in the manner Jesus (pbuh) taught his followers how to worship the Lord.

I will speak my personal thoughts as a Catholic.
True relgion is a never ending battle because we each suffer with a fallen nature. Along with that, we have an enemy the prowls around (day and night) to use our fallen nature against us and ultimately destroy us. This fallen nature conflicts with the will of God and will be with us until we die. We must struggle against this nature (our very self) and open our hearts to God. We do this by receiving the church’s sacraments, personal prayer, reading the bible, etc…
Other than that, it is a “piece of cake”.
