Is remarriage acceptable once the couple repents & choose to live in complete continence?

A divorced person from a valid marriage remarries;

both partners in the 2nd marriage repent;

both then decide to live in complete continence;

Can they continue to live together?

What if the divorced person does all this, and doesn’t want to leave so he can help his new spouse who has no one to assist her with her severly retarded child, or elderly parent sharing the same roof? Can this be an exception to receive Communion?

Hi,

As long as they live in a celibate way, they may receive Holy Communion. It may be necessary for them to receive in parish where they are not know to avoid giving scandal.
