Is Saint Faustina correct, re. removal of all temporal punishment?

In Saint Faustina’s diary, she says Jesus told her all temporal punishment due to confessed sins is wiped clean on Divine Mercy Sunday providing you go to confession and communion. I had asked a priest about this, and he said that this may or may not be true due to translations of her diary. Which is the correct answer?

What you are talking about is called a plenary indulgence. One may receive a plenary indulgence on Mercy Sunday if one follows the requirements. There are many other ways in which one may receive a plenary indulgence. Father should know this. See:
