Judas committed his sin out of malice.
Paul committed his sin out of lack of faith.

Judas is called by Peter the head of the enemies of Jesus.
Saint Paul was an old testament-abiding Jew.

Who is, really the “chief sinner”?

I suppose we all could be called that. Judas betrayed Jesus and then hung himself, therefore not leaving room for getting the forgiveness that Jesus would have offered him. Paul called himself that because he was the cause of so many early Christians dying. But, it is said that sin is sin, no matter how “bad” or “good” it may seem. Like, telling a lie isn’t the same thing as murder, but God still sees that as a sin.

Telling lies about someone might kill their reputation. Remember Jesus said that he who lusts after a woman has already committed adultery in his heart. The same can be said for other things. I hope this helps.

How do you know this?

Or this?

He was used by the enemies of Jesus. He did not seem to actually want Jesus killed, or find anything wrong in him.
Saint Paul was an old testament-abiding Jew.
So the devil would have us believe. Does an abiding Jew, kill the fullfilment of the Law (the Messiah)?

While only God knows the depth of someone’s sins, he could have been refering to the fact that of all the disciples, including Judas, he was called in the higher grace on account that he was actually persecuting Jesus at the time of his calling.

Don’t Christians believe that HaSatan is the ‘chief sinner’?

I guess both can be considered chief sinners, but Judas truly appears to be the most chief sinner of the two because he died an unrepentant sinner at enmity with God, while St. Paul died a saint and not a sinner at all. God bless you.
