Is sex before marriage a mortal sin?

Can I recieve communion if I had sex (before marriage) after I confessed? Is it a mortal sin?
 
Hi,

Having sexual relations with someone to whom one is not married is a mortal sin. One may not receive Holy Communion in such a state. To do so is another mortal sin. If this is true of you, I suggest that you ask a priest to hear your confession as soon as possible. You don’t want to remain in the state of mortal sin for any amount of time.
