Is smoking a mortal sin?

Please clarify whether or not smoking is a mortal sin. I am a thirty-year, pack-a-day smoking addict. I have received conflicting opinions on this and I am not quiet sure how to interpret the Catechism. One priest says smoking breaks the fifth commandment while another says it does not. So, who is right?
