Is spirituality emotional or intellectual?

I think this belongs in this forum rather than the spirituality forum because it is more a philosophical question, so I posted it here.

If I wanted to increase my religious devotion, should I focus on how it makes me feel or how I think about it? If it is based on emotions, then if might be less than genuine and could be lost over time because emotions ebb and change all the time.

Neither. Read Scripture, the Holy Spirit breathes and flows in and out of the word of God. Pray always, it unifys you to God. Love all as God loves you. Love closes the door before evil. Be chraritable as God is very charitable with our souls. Be forgiving especially when asked it mirrors Christ. Never focus on yourself. That is not of God, but the evil one. Focus on God and bringing His goodness before others.and you will increase your religious devotion and be called great in Heaven.
