Is St Christopher no longer a saint?

I have read about him, and seen shrines in older Catholic Churches for travellers to bless themselves, but it seems that, apart from a few older people who still wear a medal to him, that devotion to St Christopher, patron saint of travellers is disappearing.

I realise the legend on which his story is based is somewhat fanciful, and that his canonisation was probably pre-conciliar, by popular devotion rather than infallible pronouncement, so he could be removed from the martyrology without questioning the infallible teaching of the Church, but has this happened? Somebody told me that the Church now no longer recognises St Christopher, but I’m not sure if this is true. Anybody able to shed any light?
 
Once recognized a saint, it is a definitive pronouncement and it cannot be “reversed.” My understanding is the myth is based on this: his feast day was taken off the calendar, as happens through time as there are x number of days and a growing number of saints, and it is being twisted to say he is no longer a saint.
