I was wondering who typically has St.Helena as one’s personal saint? And is she still popular as a saint today?

She is a very important Saint and one any woman should try to emulate. Read up on her exploits!
Here is a picture of the cavern Chapel of the Finding of the Cross, deep under Mount Calvary (inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem) in which she purportedly located the True Cross after ordering excavation of the site

Yes, she is very important in finding many relics. Do you think, since relics and holy places were important for her, that she was catholic?

I wouldn’t say she’s in the Top 10 Saints whose statues you’re likely to find in a US Latin Rite Catholic church, but she hasn’t been forgotten. There are actually 3 parishes named after her within an hour’s drive in different directions from here.

St. Helena was a Christian. She converted at age 65 after her son Constantine had his famous victory over Maxentius. She is generally considered to have been devout, more so than her son was.

At that time there was no “Catholic” distinction. If you were a Christian, you were a Catholic, as it was only the 4th century. The first schism with the Orthodox did not occur until the 5th century, and the Protestants did not come along for about 1100 more years.
